Skill Development Program (SDP)

Skill India is an initiative launched to empower the youth of our country with skill sets which make them more employable and productive in their work environment. Shri Jayant Krishna, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, National Skill Development Corporation, inaugurated the Skill Development Program at CSIR-CDRI on 26th Aug 2017.

At present Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI) offers seven certificate courses under the CSIR-CDRI, Skill Development Program. Skill shortage remains one of the major constraints to the continued growth of the Indian economy. We wish to address this knowledge-gap by professionally trained youth of India.

The courses will meet the aspirations of students, young researchers, and industry-sponsored personnel looking for training. These courses will provide an opportunity for skill development and hands-on experience in the chosen area. CSIR-CDRI invites applications as per the details given below:

CSIR- Central Drug Research Institute is a unique R & D Institution in the country with state of the art infrastructure for new drug discovery and development from “Concept to Commercialization”. It is a global leader through cutting edge science & technology. For New India, the Institute is re-orienting itself into a multidisciplinary nodal center for the development of drug for the unmet medical needs as well as the expectation of the industry. While focusing on the discovery & development of drugs, the Institute is aligned & contributing towards the \national mission’s programmes including Skill India.

About the Program

The courses will be conducted at Central Drug Research Institute, located at Sector 10, Janakipuram Extension Sitapur Road Lucknow-226031 (U.P.), however partial curriculum of “Lab Animals course” will be conducted at Old Campus at Chattar Manzil Palace, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Lucknow. Essential qualification and eligibility criteria for each course are given in certificate courses details (on the website). Incomplete applications will not be considered.

EVALUATION OF TRAINEES will consist of the following components

Theory Courses (50 Marks)

(a) Continuous assessment through assignments

(b) End of term examination

Practical Courses (50 Marks)

(a) Guided Experiments

(b) Individual Experiments

CERTIFICATION

The certificate will be issued only to the successful candidates based on performance, and 90% attendance is a must.hv

Hostel Facility

Institute has limited hostel facility which may be provided on first come first basis. Hotel fee is charged @Rs 50/day (including electricity and water supply)

Information and instructions for filling the application form

How to apply:

1. 1. Write a simple application, attach Curriculum Vitae and self-attested copy of final qualifying degree and submit to the Course Co-ordinator (address mentioned at the bottom). Please mention “Application for Skill Development Program -“name/code of course”) on top of the envelope.
2. 2. Students awaiting results should submit a certificate from the college in the prescribed format (Annexure I).
3. 3. In case the candidate is employed, then he has to submit an undertaking Annexure II).
4. 4. Course fees can be paid through Demand Draft in favour of “Director, CSIR-CDRI”, payable at Lucknow or at the State Bank of India, CDRI Branch within the campus through Challan form (Annexure III).

5. 1. Application submission does not guarantee for the admission; the decision of the selection committee shall be the final.
6. 2. After receiving the documents, acceptance will be sent through our official emailsdp@cdri.res.in.
7. 3. Please provide a valid email address in the application form.
8. 4. The fee is not refundable; however, in case the candidate is unable to join due to some genuine reason, they will be given the opportunity to join the course in the next batch.
9. 5. While joining, candidate has to bring two Passport size photographs and final year original mark sheet for the verification.
10. 6. It is mandatory for participants to complete the course in terms of residency period and grades to earn a certificate.
