The research interest includes nanomaterial based targeted delivery to tissue of interest especially for infectious diseases and endocrine disorders. Our lab is involved in development of layer-by-layer technology, Nanocrystal Technology, Solid lipid nanoparticles and Ligand/receptor based targeting. In the last ten years the work has been carried out focusing on the development novel delivery systems with a strategy for cost-saving, patient-friendly and evidence-based products for industry for patients suffering from osteoporosis, leishmaniasis and Malaria.

In the area of leishmaniasis major emphasis has been given development of Amphotericin B bearing formulations i.e. lipo-polymerosome, which was found to have low toxicity that showed synergistic efficacy in case of leishmaniasis and further explored targeting potential of Lectin functionalized lipo-polymerosome bearing AmB and found that it has improved pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profile than commercial formulation Fungizone (Bioconjugate Chem. 25 (6), pp 1091–1102 (2014).
